First Day of School!
My eldest woke me up even before the alarm went off and I thought, he really is excited to go back to school. I got a bit worried about my youngest son though, since on his sleep, he was mumbling "Daddy, I don't want to go to school!". So I was surprised that he was energetic when his brother woke him up.
It is the first day of school for my boys. My eldest, Gabriel is in Grade 7, so technically it is his first day in high school. My youngest, Miguel is in Grade 1. I am so glad that there was no crying as we sent them to their car lift in the morning. Maybe because they were together so it was not so bad for my youngest.
The husband took a week off from work to spend time with the boys on their first week going back to school and help them with the adjustments and all. He even cleaned their PE shoes since we did not buy new ones for them. I really appreciate these little gestures my husband does for the kids. And I can see that my kids enjoy spending the whole day with their dad and having him cook for them when he can.
As promised, I will try to update their baon to school every once in a while and post them on instagram. For today, I prepared fusilli pasta with corned beef for their lunch, a cupcake and bread stix for snacks and chocolate mallows as little treat. I also gave them their favorite mango juice and a few grapes to munch on.
I will try to be more creative though and upgrade my baon preparation skills within the next few days and hopefully I will have my reward of receiving their empty lunchboxes at the end of the day!
