About Me...

Hello everyone!

My name is Marie,  a full-time OFW in the Middle East, mom of two boys and a wife.

My family and I have been living here in Dubai, UAE for 10 years now, my eldest was 3 years old when we first came here and my youngest was born here after four years.

A few months ago, we decided to plunge on a challenging yet fulfilling stage in our family's life. That is... go back to having our own apartment (no flatmates) and no yaya.

We moved closer to my office so that I can come home during lunch time and eat with the kids then go back to the office after. If I take a taxi, it would be only a five minute ride with the normal traffic.

Our apartment is also about 4 blocks away from the kids' school. They can actually walk to school and back home but living in the Middle East where during summer months, temperature can go up to 50°C, we are thinking of getting a car lift for them instead.  It would also be a lot cheaper than paying for the school bus.

No yaya anymore... since my boys are already big, my eldest is turning 13 in a couple of months and he takes care of his younger brother while my husband and I are at work. Plus the fact that I can be at our house in a few minutes if I have to. My husband's two days off from work are during the weekdays and I am off every Fridays and Saturdays... so basically, they are "left alone" a few hours everyday, only for three days a week.

Fulfilling naman because I get to cook for them everyday... my husband helps with chores (woohoo!) during his days off and my eldest helps me do the laundry, the dishes and vacuuming too.

Our only boss is the youngest... who doesn't do anything except whine and all... but he is our charm (on his "good, non-tantrum times" that is).

Here they are... my pride and joy. The reason of it all.

I hope you join me as I share with you a glimpse of my life as a Full-Time Working Mom living away from home.

♥♥♥
Marie
